The South Country Ambulance was traveling in Suffolk County on East Woodside Avenue near the intersection with Country Road 101 in Medford at approximately 10:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22, police said.
As it reached the intersection, it was struck by a white Jeep that had been traveling north before striking the ambulance, according to police.
The front end of the Jeep was destroyed, while the ambulance suffered damage to the driver’s side.
In total five people - two ambulance workers, their teenage patient, the driver of the Jeep, and a teenage passenger in the Jeep - were transported to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
